Chenge a Background with Photoshop

model-before-after.jpg

Difficulty: Moderate
Remove the current bg from a picture and replace it with a cool hand made design.
The key to this project is correct usage or layers. If you aren’t very good with them yet here are a few helpful hints. Don’t worry Photoshop takes a while to learn and I’ll admit it has been frustrating at times. But don’t worry, you’ll get it. Feel free to ask if you don’t.

Tips:

*Disable your original layer after you duplicate it at the begining of this tutorial.

*Remember the layer you are removing the background from is your second layer.

* Pay attention which Layers you are working in compared to the video. “Background Layer” has no transperancy, so you can’t delete the background from it.

*in the end layers will be staked in this order.
Gradient shadow
black & white soft light model
model
designs
Gradient gray
Background (original layer) (turned off)

I’ll soon start posting in order of difficulty so you can follow along and I won’t assume you know something you may have never been exposed to. This way I can start you off at a walk before I expect you to run.

Hi! I love your video cause it is exactly what I have been looking for. I managed to remove the background but from the point where you start to change it into grey I am lost. The resolution is so bad so that I really cannot see what you are doing. I would so much love to finish my image. It would be so nice if you could maybe post the steps on your blog so that viewers can follow more easily? Thanks so much for this video, it’s a great inspiration indeed!
